Pemberdayaan Masyarakat Melalui Pelatihan Pembuatan Biopestisida “Bioverde” Sebagai Alternatif Ramah Lingkungan di Kelurahan Mojo Surabaya

Abstract


Program Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran dan kemandirerian masyarakat Kelurahan Mojo, Kecamatan Gubeng, Kota Surabaya dalam mengurangi ketergantungan terhadap pestisida kimia yang berdampak negatif bagi lingkungan dan kesehatan. Melalui kegiatan bertema “Pemberdayaan Masyarakat melalui Pelatihan Pembuatan Biopestisida Alami ‘BioVerde’ sebagai Alternatif Ramah Lingkungan”, mahasiswa KKN Tematik Kelompok 15 Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jawa Timur melaksanakan sosialisasi dan demonstrasi langsung pembuatan biopestisida alami di Balai RW 12 Mojo pada tanggal 24 Oktober 2025. Biopestisida “BioVerde” dibuat dari bahan-bahan alami seperti pepaya, bawang putih, serai, daun kelor, lengkuas, air kelapa, air leri, garam, dan tetes tebu, melalui proses fermentasi selama 7–10 hari. Kegiatan ini melibatkan Ketua RW, kader PKK, kader lingkungan, serta perwakilan warga dari 17 RT, yang menunjukkan antusiasme tinggi dan partisipasi aktif selama kegiatan berlangsung. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan ini berhasil meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat mengenai penggunaan bahan alami sebagai pestisida ramah lingkungan serta mendorong semangat kemandirian dalam pengelolaan lingkungan. Program ini diharapkan menjadi langkah awal menuju pembentukan komunitas masyarakat yang sadar lingkungan dan berkelanjutan di wilayah perkotaan.
