General Author Guidelines
Submission Format: Manuscripts must be submitted in Microsoft Word file format, either in .docx or .rtf.
Language: Manuscripts can be written in Indonesian, English, or Arabic.
Language Writing Format: For manuscripts in Indonesian or English, use Times New Roman font, size 11, and 1.5 line spacing; for Arabic manuscripts, use Traditional Arabic font, size 16, and 1.15 line spacing.
Paper Size: A4 (210 mm x 297 mm) with margins (top: 2.5 cm, left: 2.5 cm, bottom: 2.5 cm, and right: 2 cm).
Manuscript Length: Manuscripts should be written in 10–20 pages or about 4,000–8,000 words.
Writing Structure: Manuscripts are not recommended to use sub-sections, points, or numbering. All content should be organized into coherent and integrated paragraphs so that the discussion flows smoothly and is easy for readers to understand.
Page Numbering: Odd-numbered pages should have numbers at the bottom right corner, and even-numbered pages at the bottom left corner.
Figures and Tables: Figures must be presented in line with text, with titles placed below the figures. Tables must have titles above, a height of 0.7 cm, and table names in bold.
Originality: Manuscripts must be original, have never been published, and are not under review in another journal.
Plagiarism: All submitted manuscripts will undergo plagiarism checking. Ensure that all external sources are properly cited and paraphrased.
Statement of Originality: Authors are required to digitally sign the Author Declaration Form during the submission process.
Author Guidelines for Jurnal Al Khidma
- Title must be written in Palatino Linotype 12 pt, bold, uppercase letters, consisting of 10–20 words, clear, informative, and reflecting the focus of community service.
- Author’s Name must include the author’s institutional affiliation and email address, without academic degrees.
- Abstract must be written in both Indonesian and English. The abstract should be in one paragraph, containing 150–250 words, and include the objectives of the community service activity, methods, results, and keywords (3–5 words).
- Introduction includes the background of the problem, the urgency of the community service activity, the reasons why the activity is important, its benefits, and rationalization (research or service). The final part of the introduction should clearly state the purpose of the study. Authors should note that subheadings are not used in the introduction.
- Community Service Method explains the methods used in the community service activity. The method must be described clearly and in detail, including the stages of implementation, objects of activity, and location.
- Results and Discussion describe the stages of implementing the community service, its impact on partners, and an analysis of the conditions before and after implementation. The discussion should be supported by theories, supporting data, and analysis of participation and benefits obtained by the community.
- Conclusion provides a brief summary of the results of the community service activities regarding the impact and benefits of community empowerment and solutions to the problems faced. Provide suggestions for future community empowerment activities.
- References: All references cited in the article must be listed in the reference section. The references used must include at least 15 sources (12 journal articles and 3 books) and should be primary references published within the last 10 years.
- Reference and Footnote Writing: References must be managed using Zotero with the Chicago Manual of Style 17th Edition (Full Note/Footnote) style. References should appear in footnotes and the reference list following CMS format. The first citation should include full information (author’s name, italicized title, place of publication, publisher, and page number), while subsequent citations should include only the author’s name and page number. If interrupted by another source, add a short title and page number. Do not use the terms Op.Cit. or Loc.Cit.
