Kualifikasi Pemimpin Ideal Perspektif KH Abdullah Syukri Zarkasyi: Analisis Nilai Al-Qirāah Ar-Rasyĩdah Kelas 4 Gontor

Abstract

This study explores and analyzes the qualifications of an ideal leader according to KH Abdullah Syukri Zarkasyi, as reflected in the narrative values in the book Al-Qira’ah Ar-Rasyidah for class 4 at Gontor Islamic Boarding School. The research employs a qualitative method with a library research design and a content analysis approach. Data were obtained by examining narrative texts in the Al-Qira’ah Ar-Rasyidah book and correlating them with KH Abdullah Syukri Zarkasyi's ideas as presented in Bekal untuk Pemimpin (Provisions for Leaders). The findings indicate a correlation between the stories in the Class 4 Al-Qira’ah Ar-Rasyidah book and the leadership qualifications proposed by KH Abdullah Syukri Zarkasyi, as embedded in 12 stories. These include values such as sincerity, honesty, firmness, willingness to sacrifice, integrity, hard work, intelligence, initiative, and communication skills. These values illustrate the integration of character education and leadership within the pesantren curriculum, which is conveyed not only through formal instruction but also through Arabic language learning materials rich in moral messages. This study is expected to contribute theoretically to the development of value-based learning studies and to serve as a practical reference for teachers and pesantren administrators in instilling leadership values through instructional materials.
