Author Guidelines

General Guidelines for Writers

Submission Format: Manuscripts must be submitted in Microsoft Word (.docx) or Rich Text Format (.rtf).

Language: Manuscripts must be written in English.

Language and Formatting: Manuscripts in English should use Times New Roman, 11 pt, with 1.5 line spacing. Manuscripts in Arabic should use Traditional Arabic, 12 pt, with 1.15 line spacing.

Paper Size: A4 (210 × 297 mm) with margins of 2.5 cm (top), 3.2 cm (left), 3 cm (bottom), and 2.5 cm (right).

Manuscript Length: 10–20 pages or approximately 4,000–8,000 words.

Writing Structure: The use of subheadings, bullet points, or numbering within the manuscript is not recommended. The manuscript should be written in coherent and integrated paragraphs to ensure a logical and readable flow of discussion.

Figures and Tables: Figures should be placed within the text, with captions positioned below the figures. Table titles should appear above the tables in bold.

Originality: Manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration for publication in any other journal.

Plagiarism: All submitted manuscripts will undergo plagiarism screening. Authors must ensure that all sources are properly cited and paraphrased.

Author Guidelines for Al-Madrasah: Jurnal Ilmiah Pendidikan Madrasah Ibtidaiyah

  1. The title should be written in uppercase letters, using 12-point bold font, consisting of 10–20 words, and should be clear, concise, and informative.
  2. The author's name must be accompanied by the institutional affiliation and email address without academic titles.
  3. The abstract must be written in both Indonesian and English in a single paragraph (150–250 words) and should include the research objectives, methods, findings, and 3–5 keywords.
  4. The introduction should explain the research context and urgency in the field of education, including the background, objectives, relevance, novelty, research gap, and contribution to knowledge and educational practice.
  5. The method section should systematically describe the research procedures, including research design, participants or data sources, data collection techniques, data analysis, and procedures for drawing conclusions.
  6. The results and discussion should present original findings obtained through observations, interviews, questionnaires, surveys, documents, or other relevant data collection techniques. Tables and figures may be included to clarify the findings.
  7. The conclusion should summarize the main findings and highlight their implications for educational theory and practice.
  8. The references must include at least 15 sources, consisting of a minimum of 13 journal articles and 2 books, preferably published within the last 10 years.
  9. References and footnotes must follow the Chicago Manual of Style, 17th Edition (Full Note/Footnote), using Zotero. The first citation should be given in full, while subsequent citations should use the shortened form. The use of Op. Cit. and Loc. Cit. is not permitted.
