Conflict of Interest Policy

A conflict of interest arises when financial, institutional, or personal relationships could improperly influence, or appear to influence, an individual's judgment in the publication process. Al-Muhith: Jurnal Ilmu Qur'an dan Hadits requires all parties involved in the publication process to disclose any conflicts of interest.

Authors. Authors must disclose any relevant conflicts of interest when submitting their manuscripts. If no conflicts of interest exist, authors must clearly state that there are no conflicts of interest related to the research and publication of the article.

Reviewers. Reviewers must decline an invitation to review or notify the editor if they have a conflict of interest involving the manuscript or its authors. Such conflicts may arise from recent collaborations, institutional affiliations, supervisory relationships, family relationships, or competing research interests. Reviewers must not use unpublished information obtained from a manuscript for personal advantage.

Editors. Editors must not handle manuscripts in which they have a conflict of interest. Manuscripts submitted by the Editor-in-Chief, editorial board members, or the publisher's staff (Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Al-Qur'an Amuntai) will be assigned to an independent editor and undergo the same double-blind peer-review process as all other submissions. The submitting editor will have no access to the review process or editorial decision.

Undisclosed Conflicts of Interest. Conflicts of interest identified after publication will be handled in accordance with the journal's Allegations of Research Misconduct policy and may result in the publication of a correction or the retraction of the article.
