The Influence of the Use of Power Point and Interactive Learning Videos on the Intensity of Learning Activities in Students in the Al-Qur'an Hadith Subject at MTsN 4 Sinjai

Abstract

This study aims to analyze: (1) the effect of using PowerPoint on the intensity of students' learning activities, (2) the effect of using interactive learning videos on the intensity of students' learning activities, and (3) the difference in the effects of using PowerPoint versus interactive learning videos on the intensity of students' learning activities in the Al-Qur'an Hadith subject at MTsN 4 Sinjai. This study employs a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design. The data sources comprised 42 eighth-grade students of MTsN 4 Sinjai, divided into an experimental class (21 students) and a control class (21 students). Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistical techniques. The results derived from the pretest and posttest evaluations indicate that the use of both PowerPoint and interactive learning videos significantly affects the intensity of students' learning activities at MTsN 4 Sinjai. Furthermore, a significant difference was observed in the posttest results between the PowerPoint class and the interactive learning video class. The implications of this study suggest that PowerPoint and interactive learning videos provide a more engaging, varied, and meaningful learning experience. These media serve as effective alternatives for explaining complex topics, clarifying the meanings of Qur'anic verses or Hadiths, and fostering a more communicative learning atmosphere. Consequently, these findings highlight the need for madrasahs to enhance support for information technology-based learning and to organize training programs for teachers in developing digital learning media.
