Article Processing Charges (APC)

Al Qalam: Jurnal Ilmiah Keagamaan dan Kemasyarakatan, published by Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Al-Qur'an Amuntai (STIQ Amuntai), is committed to maintaining transparency, fairness, and academic integrity in its publication process. The journal applies an Article Processing Charge (APC) to support its scholarly publishing activities while providing fee exemptions for research that makes significant contributions to scientific development and for eligible institutional authors.

The journal adopts a publication fee policy that balances the sustainability of academic publishing with its commitment to promoting high-quality research, scholarly collaboration, and the dissemination of knowledge in Islamic studies and related social sciences.

Article Processing Charges

The standard Article Processing Charge (APC) is IDR 1,500,000 (one million five hundred thousand Indonesian rupiah) per article for authors who do not qualify for the journal's publication fee exemptions.

The APC applies to articles accepted for publication and is administered in accordance with the journal's established publication procedures. Information regarding payment arrangements and related administrative requirements will be communicated through the journal's official editorial office.

The payment of publication fees does not guarantee manuscript acceptance or influence editorial decisions. All manuscripts must undergo the journal's established editorial screening and peer-review procedures and satisfy the applicable academic quality and publication ethics requirements.

Article Processing Charge Waiver

Al Qalam: Jurnal Ilmiah Keagamaan dan Kemasyarakatan provides a full APC waiver, allowing eligible articles to be published free of charge, under the following conditions:

  1. High-Impact Research Articles: Articles that demonstrate significant contributions to the advancement of scientific knowledge, present substantial academic novelty, or offer meaningful theoretical or practical implications for their respective fields are eligible for a full publication fee waiver. The significance of the scholarly contribution is assessed through the journal's academic evaluation process.

  2. Articles Authored by STIQ Rakha Amuntai Lecturers: Articles written by lecturers affiliated with Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Al-Qur'an (STIQ) Rakha Amuntai are exempt from publication fees as part of the journal's commitment to supporting institutional research and scholarly productivity.

  3. Collaborative Research with STIQ Rakha Amuntai Lecturers: Articles co-authored through research collaboration involving lecturers from STIQ Rakha Amuntai and researchers from other institutions are also eligible for a full APC waiver. This policy aims to encourage academic partnerships, interdisciplinary research, and collaborative scholarly contributions.

Eligible articles receive a 100% APC waiver, meaning no article processing charge is required for their publication.
